THE "FIRST-NIGHTERS."
NEW SYSTEM OF BOOKING.
p.Tir. is a system in operation in. connection with the theatres of J. C. Williamson, Limited, in. Sydney and Melbourne, by which regular playgoers are able to book first-night seats all the year'round in advance of the general public for productions in a particular theatre. It is called a " First-nighters' Association," and is a sort of early-door arrangement for booking, obviating the necessity for getting up at an unearthly hour, and waiting in a queue for perhaps two or three hours to get seats, when the plans for any big attraction are opened. The system is being introduced in Auckland by the firm, and circulars have been issued during the week to regular patrons of. the theatre, intimating that it is to be initiated -with the "Our Miss Gibbs" season. ■ , -
The rules and regulations are published in our advertising columns to-day. The "first-nighters" will have their eeats allotted by ballot next Tuesday, and whatever seats they may. draw will be theirs for all first-night performances by J. C. Williamson companies for a year. All applications must bo lodged by next Monday. ■ .
