MR. W. J. NAPIER FOR WAITEMATA
A DEPUTATION of Devonport and Takapuna electors waited on Mr. W. J. Napier last week, and asked him to stand for the Waitemata electorate. Mr. Napier, in his reply to the deputation yesterday morning, stated that he has decided to again become a candidate for the representation of Waitemata.

PUKEKOHE REFORM LEAGUE.

Pukekohe, Wednesday.
At a meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Reform League the following resolution was passed:—"That this meeting of Opposition supporters of Pukekohe and surrounding districts, while deeply . regretting that the alteration of boundaries has deprived the Pukekohe district of the honour of having the Leader of the Reform party as member, pledges itself to do all in its power to secure the return of Mr. Massey's selection for the Raglan electorate. THE RAGLAN SEAT. : [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ' Pukekohe, Wednesday. Mr. Bollard, who has been selected as Opposition candidate for Raglan, has been paying a short visit to Pukekohe, and has been very cordially received. Good "accounts have been received from the out-dis-tricts he has visited, and the party is very confident of his success at the polls.
One of those who had the good fortune to draw a Mackenzie Country • (South Island) run in the recent ballot, has already refused £4000 for the goodwill of it, though he has. not spent a penny on the property*
