FIRES IN NEWFOUNDLAND.
VILLAGES DESTROYED.
By Telegraph.— Association. —Copyright. St. John's, August 29. The forest fires which have caused so much damage in Newfoundland continue,. and hundreds of acres of crops and many dwellings have been destroyed.
The residents of two villages were compelled to put to sea in boats to escape the. flames. Two villages in Trinity Bay are imperilled.
