AEROPLANES IN WARFARE.
ADMIRAL TOGO'S VIEW. By Telegraph.—Press Association.Copyright Ottawa, August 29. Admirax, Togo, interviewed at Vancouver, paid a tribute to President Taft's work for the cause of peace. "Admiral Togo expressed the belief that aeroplanes were certain to play an important part in the naval! warfare of the future, but did not believe aeroplanes would be able to destroy battleships, at least present-day aeroplanes. He refused to speak on the : strategic advantages of the Panama Canal, but emphasised its advantages from the point of view of the world's commerce.

Admiral Togo has sailed homewards, attended by several American warships. President Taft sent a message conveying his good wishes.
