BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY,

A brighter tone prevailed on the Stock Exchange yesterday. In mining lines Waihis showed an upward tendency, sales being made at from 64s 6d to 65s 9d to : 65s 6d, later sellers quoting 65s 6d, and buyers 65s 3d. Waihi Grand Junctions changed hands at 28s and 27s 9d, mare being on offer at 28s, with buyers at 27e 9d. In investment stocks Tonson Garlicks were done at 19s 9d, and Union Oils at 27s 6d. Talisman shares were sold in Auckland yesteifc'uy at 49s 6d to 50s, and later buyers quoted 49s 9d, and sellers 50s. 1 THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE.
