NATIONAL INSURANCE.
TRADES UNION'S ATTITUDE.
By Telegraph.—Frees Association.—Copyright.
London, May 25. Mr. G. N. Barnes, a member of the Parliamentary Labour party, says that the party has some misgivings as to the continued efficiency of trades unions under the National Insurance Bill. It -would support the second reading, but future action would be largely determined by the alterations in committee.
The Labour party was unable to agree to the clause depriving trades unions of the full control of their funds, and would insist on unemployment benefits being distributed through the trades unions.
