OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.
A DWELLING DESTROYED.
[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN - CORRESPONDENT,] ..;'*_ Ort/anui, Thursday. A destructive fire occurred "about 6.45 o'clock on Tuesday night at Oruanui, when the residence of Mr. F. J. Hayman, headmaster at the native school, was burned to the ground with practically all its contents. There was no insurance on the effects, and the house is the property of the Government. Mr. and Mrs. Hayman were entertaining a number of the children when the fire was discovered in a front bedroom. The cause of the outbreak is a mystery.
