PRISONER AS JURYMAN.
QtiTß a Gilberlian story comes from Swansea. At (he borough Quarter Sessions there was a case in which a man named Craggs was indicted for stealing meat. When the case was called the prisoner could not be found. Ilia solicitor and officials of the Court hunted high and low. but it was some considerable lime before Craggs was discovered. Then ho was found —amongst the grand jury, helping to decide whether there was a true bill against himself or not. To his solicitor Craggs explained that lie thought the grand jurymen were all prisoners'. Eventually Craggs was found not guilty of the charge.
