Heavy draughts sold at from £35 to £40; grocers' and bakers' cart horses, £13 to £23; buggy horses and hacks, £12 to £17; gig ponies and ordinary hacks, £6 10s to £9. . Hides: Ox, 6d to 63d; cow, 5Jd to 6&d; calf, 6Jd to 8d; damaged, sid to 53d. Tallow, £1 2s 6d to £1 10s. Hair, lOd to Is 6Jd. Skins: Best butchers', lambs' and pelts, Is 9d to 2s 9d; others, Is Id to Is sd; country skins, 4s 6d to 53 lOd; small and damaged, 2s 4d to 3s Bd. , . ■.. •;, On Thursday, March 30, at the Westfleld yards, more than the usual number of dairy and store cattle came forward,, and were disposed of at figures equal to recent sales.
