RESCUE BY LIFEBOATS.

London, January 22. The Great Central Railway steamer Lincoln became stranded in a fog on Laisborough Sands, of! Cromef. Her distress signals were not perceived for 24 hours, but the weather was fortunately favourable, and the lifeboats then rescued the passengers.

A message from Portland, Oregon, states that a steamer, with the British flag flying, is ashore on the reefs near' Cape Florida. Her identity is unknown. Steamers have gone to assist. .
