•His Excellency the Governor (Lord Islington) arrived in .Auckland yesterday by the express from the South, and is staying at the Northern Club. Lady Islington has remained in Wellington, and His Excellency is accompanied only by his private secretary (Mr. Kerr-Clark). Lord Islington will attend, the races to-day and to-morrow, and will return to Wellington after a stay of a few. days in Auckland. From Wellington he will proceed to Invercargill and New Plymouth, where he is due on the 26th.
