THE PUKEKOHE LOAN.
POLL OF ratepayers; wanted.
[ifßOil OCR own correspondent.] Pukekohk, Friday. A meeting of ratepayers was held in the Masonic Hall last evening to consider tho loan proposals that are being brought forward by the Town Board, to borrow £13,000 for road formation, installation of a water supply, and to purchase a recreation ground. There was a good attendance of ratepayers. Mr. R. F. Webster, chairman of the Town Board, presided, and the Board's engineer, Mr. C. E. Suggate, was also present to give information regarding tho water supply. A resolution requesting the Town Board to hold a poll of ratepayers for the purpose of voting on the proposals, was brought forward, and after a little discussion was carried unanimously. At the conclusion of tho meeting a vote of thanks was passed for the chairman and engineer.
