FOUR MEN IN A YACHT.
A JOURNEY UP THE COAST. [BT TELEGRAPH. ASSOCIATION'.] CjraisrcHtracH, Friday. Amongst the" arrivals in Lyttleton this morning was the yacht Aorangi, ilrom. Dunedin. The little vessel left Dunedin. Heads at midnight on Tuesday, and met with strong north-east winds as far as Oamaru, which was reached at 11 o'clock on Wednesday, when it wae decided to heave-to until the wind changed. She resumed her journey at four o'clock yesterday morning, and with the aid of a strong southerly passed the Akaroa light last evening at 6.30. The hills sheltered her considerably while making for the Godley Heads light, which was in sight at 10 o'clock, Two hours later the yacht anchored inside the heads and came into port this morning.
The Aorangi is competing in the firstclass yacht race on New Year's Day. She won the "blue'ribbon" event at Lyttelton on the occasion of the last regatta, and last week gained first honours at Port Chalmers. She is in charge of Mr. D. Wall, and his companions on the journey north were Messrs. J. Morgan, D. Cook, and G. Maltby.
