WORK ON" THE TERRA NOVA. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CrniiSTCHTrHCH, Thursday. The Terra Nova is at present a veritable hive of industry, all hands being fully occupied in a bustle of preparation for the coming voyage to the Antarctic. Practically all the stores for the western landing have been stowed away, and the work of loading the stores for the eastern party and the remainder of the equqipment will be finished by Saturday. The balance of the coal supplies to be taken from Lyttelton will be loaded on Monday and Tuesday next. The officers have been engaged for the past fortnight in overhauling and adjusting the compasses, theodolites, and other instruments. The vessel will be practically ready for eoa on Wednesday next, and the whole of the members of th© expedition will have their goods and chattels on board by then. On Saturday, 26th inst., at four p.m., the Terra Nova will cast off from the wharf, and steam out of Lyttelton " southward bound,." -j : : ;f
