CHEAPER CABLES.

HALF RATES FOR DEFERRED I MESSAGES. By Telegraph.— Association —Copyright London, November 16, Representatives of, all the cable companies doing business in England, at a meeting convened by Sir Matthew Nathan (Secretary to the General Post Office) decided practically unanimously in favour of half rates for deferred messages. A sub-committee was formed to fix the details. The general feeling was that -the experiment for the present should be confined to Great Britain and her possessions, and be only applicable to extra-European territories. Sir Henry Primrose and Mr. Coghlan (Agent-General for New South Wales) represented the Pacific Cable Board.
