RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY

At the Supreme Court to-day Alexander ( Taylor was arrainged on a charge that ' in August last, during the voyage of the ] Turakina from London to Wellington, he < stole a quantity of curtains, sunshades, and umbrellas, valued at £25 19s 3d, the property of the New Zealand Shipping Company, or, in the alternative, that he received the property, knowing it to hive been stolen. The accused admitted the second charge, and the first was withdrawn. Sentence was deferred till Saturday.- ■ • V - ■: ' ■ ■'
