MINISTER AND MEMBER.
MR. CREENSLADE INDIGNANT. [BY TELEGRAPH."—SPECIAL correspondent.] Wellington, Sunday. At 4.30 a.m. 011 Saturday Mr. A. J. Greene'ade (.membor for Waikato) delivered a straight talk to the Hon. T. Mackenzie (Minister for Agriculture). Mr. Greenslade had put one or two questions in reference to the Agricultural Estimates, and he had been followed by several ot'.ier members. The Minister cid not it ply quickly enough to please Mr. Greenslade. '"'lf the Minister thinks lie is going to treat us with contempt," Mr. Greenslade informed the Chairman of Committees, "he is making a huge mistake." Mr. Greenslade added that he was prepared to sit there all night, but lie was determined to have a reply. He was not coming to Parliament to put through huge sums of money at 4.30 a.m. without getting the information lie desired. The Minister could think what he liked, but he must treat the members with respect. In replying, Mr. Mackenzie said he had delayed so as to answer all the questions put by members together. "I accept your apology," said Mr. Greenslade, amid laughter.
