PROMINENT MEN GUARDED. REWARDS FOR CONVICTIONS, By Telegraph.—P /ess Association CopyrigM. San Francjsco, October 3. Three hundred men are digging for bodies amid the ruins of the Los Angeles Times building, where the bomb explosion and fire occurred a few days ago. So far, 21 bodies have been recovered. The homes of prominent men are being guarded by detectives. The rewards offered for the conviction of the bomb-throwers now total 88,000 dollars. Forty special police officers have been engaged to cope with the situation.
