THE SOUTH POLE.
AMUNDSEN'S EXPEDITION. By Telegraph.Press Association.— London, October 2. Captain R. Amundsen, the wellknown Danish explorer, who is now at Madeira, states that the .Fram is bound on a secret Antarctic expedition. She reaches Buenos Aires in February, and then there will be no further news of her until March, 1912, when the Fram returns to San Francisco to prepare to drift across the North Pole.
