HOMING.
RACE FROM TE KUITI. The second race of the season in connection with the Auckland Pigeon Flving Club was flown from Te Kuiti on Saturday. The birds were liberated at 11 a.m. by Mr. White, the first bird homing at 1.45 p.m. The following are the results: —H. Thornton's led chequer cock Matador, velocity 1108 yds; R. E. Widdow's pied cock (.lay Boy, velocity 1104 yds; A. Hill's blue chequer hen Blue Streak, velocity 1103 yds ; R. Martin's blue chequer hen Thelma, velocity 1102 yds; all other competitors' birds being close up.
