THE YOUNG TURKS.
DISARMING MACEDONIANS. , UNEASINESS IN GREECE. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright (Received October 2, 5 p.m.) London, October 1. The Athens correspondent of the Times states that the Turks are with extreme rigour disarming the Macedonians, and this strengthens the suspicion that the Young Turk Committees meditate an attack on Greece. Other correspondents write similarly. A few days ago the Athens correspondent of the Times commented on what was regarded as the provocative attitude of Turkey to Greece. It was alleged that Turkey's attitude was inspired by the consciousness of powerful support from abroad. The correspondent mentioned that Grecian apprehensions rested on the possibility of an irruption of irregulars from the Turkish side across the frontier precipitating a conflict and also on the suspicion that Turkey may initiate hostilities without notice. TREATMENT OF ALBANIANS. REFUGE IN MONTENEGRO. (Received October 2, 5 p-m.) London, October 1. Renter's correspondent at Ccttinje (the capital of Montenegro) states that owing to Turkish severities the entire population of an Albanian village has entered Montenegro. Many other Albanian peasants have entered the kingdom with their flocks and herds to escape the Turkish military press gangs.
