London, September 12. Mr. Loraine, the well-known airman, flew across the Irish Sea from Holyhead to Ireland, yesterday. Fine weather was experienced, but at a height of 3000 ft the engine stopped for half-a-minute. This was repeated later, and the lost power caused the machine to gradually descend into the sea, 60yds from the Howth Lighthouse. Mr. Loraine swam ashore. His aeroplane, partly submerged, was afterwards recovered. Paris, September 11. M. Parisot, with a passenger, was aeroplaning over Paris when the machine fell into a street. It snapped a lamp-post, but the airmen were uninjured.
