News received by mail concerning the King's ij death shows that his . physicians tried without success to dissuade His Majesty from going to Sandringham, wher<s he caught his second and fatal chill. He was equally difficult to control when he returned from the Palace. " ~ The following statement is attributed to him: "No, my back is to the wall, and I shall fight it out." He submitted himself finally to the doctors only eight hours before he died. •'
