London, April 17. A man named Thomas Craig recently murdered another named "Henderson and also severely wounded Mrs. Henderson. The latter was a former sweetheart of Craig and was married to Henderson whilst Craig was serving a sentence of seven years' imprisonment. Craig escaped, despite the fact that the murder was witnessed, and that it occurred in a thickly populated district. The murderer was subsequently captured asleep in a hay loft with a loaded revolver in his pocket. After tramping for three weeks the police traced him through small thefts of food that he committed.
