MASONIC INSTALLATION.

The annual installation of W.M. and investiture of officers of Lodge Corinthian took place at Thames on Tuesday, when Bro. G. Lapraikwas installed Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. There was a large muster of members of the lodge, and of sister lodges from various parts of the district, and also of Grand Lodge officers. Worshipful Bro. W. H. Newton performed the ceremony, and Bros. W. J. Simmonds, W.M. No. 454. 1.C., and H. E. Crease, W.M. Lodge Sir Walter Scott, No. 15, acted as presenting officers, while Bro. W. H. Low© was master of ceremonies. The working tools in the various degrees were presented respectively by W. Bros. E. P. Goldsboro', W.M. Lodge Waitemata. Lennard, W.M. Lodge Prince of Wales, and C. L. McDiarmid, W.M. Lodge Beta. The address to the W.M. and members was delivered by W. Bro. C. H. Jenkins, D.S.J.W., and that to the Wardens by W. Bro. T. Gresham, P.D.G.R. W. Bro. W. H. Newton was tho recipient of a handsome P.G. superintendent of works jewel, which was presented by W. Bro. Jenkins on behalf of the Lodge Corinthian, in appreciation of the services rendered by Bro. Newton to the lodge during the past 14 years. At the conclusion of the business a social evening was spent.
