ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET. I. \\ [BY TELEGIUI-H.— PRES3 ASSOCIATION.] : ' / Chbistchurch, Tuesday. There was again a heavy yarding of all classes of sheep,, and fair entries of other stock. There was-also a good attendance. . Fat 'cattle sold at /about i last 'week's : rates. Store sheep were in food deiTmnd,'. and fat lambs were ' again firmer. Fat sheep sold at about last week's rates. There was not much demand for store cattle, but dairy cows sold well, as: did fat pigs, but, stores were rather easier. There was a heavy, entry of store sheep, mostly lambs of medium quality, with a few linu3 of ewes and wethers.'... Good breeding ewes were in strong demand, and all lots were sold freely. The range of prices was Forward lambs, 10s to 12s; medium, Bs. 6d to 93 9d; small, 6s 2d to 8s; four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, lis lid to 15s 3d; two and four-tooth, to 14s Id, sound mouth, 9s to 13s; 'aged, 5s 7d; forward wethers, Via 6d to 15s lid; others, 10s 9d to lis, lid. •

There was again a very large yarding of fat lambs, totalling 9319, of which a good proportion were of prime quality. The demand for export was brisk, and a good clearance.,' was effected at prices showing a further advance; of 3d to 6d per head; freezing sorts, which were short, made 12s 6d to 16a Bd, ' and a few extra heavy butchers' lambs to 17s; backward sorts, lis 5(1 to 12s. There were 8719 taken for export, and the balance by butchers and graziers.

The yarding of fat sheep was not so large' as last week, and the bulk were ewes, there being few good lines of wethers on offer. There was little or no change in rvalues, competition for wethers, in consequence of the shortage of good freezing lines,, not being so keen, and ewes kept up their price well to the end of the sale. The range of prices was: Prime wethers, 15s to 16s 6d; others, 13s 6d to 14s 9d ; merino wethers, 9s; primp ewes, 12s to 13s, extra to 15s 4d; others, Of to 14s 6d. .' . '' ' The supply of beef totalled 209 head, of fair average quality, most of the.entries being again made by dealers. The sale wan about equal to last week in point of demand, and values showed little or no change, the quality not being so good ae last week. Steers made £6 14s to £9 12s 6d ; heifers £5 17s M to £8 2s •M; cows, £5 to PI 17s' (eoual to 20k 6d te'23s for. prime, medium 19s to 20». and 17a 6d to 18a 6d for row and inferior, per 1001b).
