FANCY DEALER'S FAILURE.
MEETING OF CREDITORS.
A meeting of creditors in ho estato of John Evans, fancy goods dealer, Karangahapo Road, was held at the ollicial assignee's office yesterday.
Bankrupt's statement (already published) showed liabilities to unsecured creditors £450 12s Id, and to secured creditors £130 19s sd. The value of the security was estimated at £130. . The assets were set down at £457 6s 6d, leaving a nominal surplus of £5 15«. . ' -
Tho assignee considered that at this season of tho year bankrupt's stock would not sell at anywhere near its face value.
After some discussion it was resolved to call lenders for the.'slock, to close in 10 days' time. A committee, consisting of Messrs. Munro Clark, W. Darby, and A. J. Booth, was appointed to act in conjunction with tho assignee in the disposal of the goods.' _
