DANGER TO QUARRYMEN.
[BY TELEGRAM.— ASSOCIATION.]
Dunedin, Monday. A deputation from the Labourers' Union waited on the Hon. J. A. Millar, Minister for Labour, and represented the danger to quarry men working in unprotected quarries. The speakers referred particularly to the recent accident in Caldev's quarry. They thought that quarrymen were under the same protection as miners, but found this not to be the case. The Minister promised to introduce legislation on the subject.
