ONEHUNGA COURTS.
Mr. ,E. C. Cutten, S.M., presided over a sitting qf the Onehunga Courts yesterday. Sergeant M. Rogers represented the police. Walter Freestone, a prohibited person,' was fined £2, and costs 19s, for obtaining drink during the currency of his prohibition order. George McCauley was similarly fined on a .similar charge. 111 each instance the default was fixed at 14 days' imprisonment.
Prohibition orders were granted against John McMahon, D. J. ' Murdoch, Andrew Murdoch, and Fanny Marshall. •
A man named It. S. Maney was ordered to contribute £1 per ; week towards the maintenance of his wife.
C. C. Davis, of the New Zealand Glue Company, was charged by the inspector of factories with failing to keep a proper wages, book, and was fined £2, with costs 7s. For remunerating an engine-driver with less than the wage apportioned under the enginedrivers' award a penalty of £2, with costs 15s, was imposed. G. and C. Dean were arraigned on a charge of working a horse which suffered from sore shoulders. A fine of £2, with costs £1 10s 6d, was inflicted.
Robert S. Dalziel claimed £1 15s from H. S. Wilson, judgment being given by default, with costs . ss. —i ■ Mrs. Carleton claimed £2 15s from' A. Calder 011 a judgment summons. Calder, who . failed to appear, was ordered to pay the amount forthwith or go to : gaol for three days. . . , . 1 Mrs. . Hooker sought a * separation from her husband, Stephen Hooker. The ease was adjourned for 14 days. ' '
