; OLD HAURAKI. SPECIMEN REEF WIDENING. [by telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT.] - Coromandkl, Friday. , The reef in the intermediate level of the Old Hauraki mine, which yielded 401b of specimen stone yesterday, and narrowed in a little to-day, is opening out again. Strong gold is nov showing in two places in-the face of the drive. This face is now 25ft 'away from the break. Specimen stone has been secured for the whole distance, and there is no apparent reason why the run of gold should not extend still further seaward. -■:-■-...'■'■'*-•- '■-:.■-. ••'■ ' .-•;•.■ '•'.■; At the 300 ft level 121b of nice specimens were secured, leaving gold showing in the roof of the drive. I understand that the manager intends very shortly to endeavour to . locate this specimen reef at the higher levels, and there appears to be every prospect of success. - \ /:.':--- ; ' '•'..■■
