jf oe ._Tlie English mail, via Suez, which left Wellington on November 12, arrived in London on the morning of December 19. CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. Saturday, December 25, and Saturday, January 1, are to "be observed as close holidays. On Monday, December 27, poat office* are to be open in all branches except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mails usually despatched on Saturdays will be closed on Fridays, December 24 and 31, at 7.45 p.m. On Monday, December 27, all mails despatched on that day will close at 8 a.m. Street letter boxes will be cleared at midnight oil Sunday, December 26.
