MINIATURE RIFLE-SHOOTING.
A miniature rifle-shooting competition was held on Saturday afternoon at the No. 2 Native Rifles' Hall, Second Avenue, Kingsland, for a trophy presented by Lieutenant William H. Gibb. There was a large turn-out of the company. The conditions were 10 shots at 25yds, five equal to 200 yds and five equal to sCoyds. The trophy was secured by a recruit (Private C. A. Nelson), who beat an old shot (Sergeant J. McMurtrie) on a tie. The following are the principal scores:— Total. Private C. A.
