THE OUTLOOK IN ENGLAND.
No socialist rhetoric or. behalf of the Budget (says a London paper) can lessen the reality of two present facts—the prevailing depression in trade and the reduced demand for labour. Clear evidence of both conditions is contained in reports from the London boroughs, which agree in showing that the Government's finance proposals have seriously affected trade, and that unemployment threatens to be even worse this winter than last.
