There is a prospect of the Wellington V.M.C.A. becoming self-supporting in the neiu- future. That was the opinion expressed in the treasurer's statement laid before the annual meeting of the association - on Tuesday night (says the Post), The expenses of the association are paid almost entirely by the members. In order to meet the expenditure of the next 12 months the board proposes to raise £400 from annual subscribers and £200 from the membership of: the association. The sum of £5000 had to be borrowed from the National Life Association to pay all outstanding accounts, and by arrangement this debt is being reduced by payments of £250 yearly. One instalment had already l>een paid, and another was in hand to 'be paid. ■'• '/•;- -■
