CLARA BUTT'S VOICE.
A JOURNALIST'S EARS BOXED.
By Telegraph.— Association.— London, December 2. Resenting criticisms of the singing of his wife, Madame Clara. Butt, the famous contralto, who' recently visited Australasia, Mr. Kermerley Rumford boxed the ears of, the musical critic of the Times (Mr. Oollis) in the vestibule of the Queen's Hall. Mr. Rumford refused the demand of the Times for an apology, alleging that the "so-called criticism" was one of a series of attacks.
Mr. Colli:; has, therefore, commenced Police Court proceedings".
