ENGINEERS' CONFERENCE.
[BY IELEGHAPH. —rBESS ASSOCIATION.]
Wellington-, Friday. The conference of delegates of the Amalgamated Society of Engineers concluded its sittings this morning. It was stated that a new claim had been drawn up, which was expected to meet with all the requirements of the trade, and it was thought that it would not meet with much opposition from the employers. Satisfaction was expressed at the courteous way in which a deputation had been received and heard by the Hon. J. A. Millar. The Southern delegates return home to-night, and the Northern delegates in the morning.
