AUCKLAND METHODIST SYNOD.
FINAL SESSION.
The Auckland District Methodist Synod mot in representative session yesterday morning.
The Rev. W. Ready suggested that, the attention of their people be called to tho neglect of the Band of Hope in the various circuits of tho Dominion, and that, wherever possible, it. bo revived.
A short ministerial session was hold at the close, when the Revs. R. Taylor and T. G. Garr were appointed a committee to draw up an obituary notice to be inserted in tho journal, in regard to the life and labours of the late Rev. W. (i. Thomas, who had passed away during the sessions of tho Synod. The Rev. 11. Wileocks, on »,ho president's list of reserve in Maori wor'-, was recommended to bo received on probation. At the final session of the Svnod it was resolved that Mr. Edward To Tuhi be accepted for immediate employment-as a probationer for the native ministry. The Synod closed at four p.m., the chairman pronouncing the Benediction.
