The lOOvds provincial amateur swimming championship .of Auckland will bo ':, decidedat the second gala of tho Waitemata: Swimming Club on December 17. The race will bo held in < tho Albert-street / baths. The standard time has been altered from 655. to 65=i. The Waitemata Club officials are taking precautions to have the conditions or the race such that any competitor covering the distance inside the standard timo will get full credit. He competed recently in the East Christchurch Club's handicap of 52yds, and covered the distance in a tick under 30s.
