ENTERTAINMENTS.

HUGH J. WARD SEASON.

The sccond production of " A Bachelor's Honeymoon" by tho Hugh J. Ward Company was witnessed by an audience that taxed the accommodation of His Majesty's Theatre to the utmost last night. Incessant and most hearty laughter greeted the piece, which contains no moment that, is dull. Funny in itself, the interpretation given to the farcical absurdity by Mr. Ward and his supporting company brought out all the humour to the point of accentuation.. Miss Grace Palotta shared the chief honours with the actor-manager, these two clever artists keeping the ball of fun rolling with consummate art and ceaseless vivacity. Miss Rose Musgrove's Marianne was again recognised as a classic in low-comedy creations, and this lady created boundless mirth. . Miss Celia Ghiloni also scored heavily as the stern sister-guardian, serving as an excellent foil to the other characters. Mr. Reginald Wykeham's work was so good as to entitlo him to rank amongst the; "stars." The remaining members of the 1 ' well-balanced and talented company ■each played in the spirit of the piece, in the armour of which there were no weak joints. "A Bachelor's Honeymoon" is one of tho most amusing productions staged here, and its season promises to put any number of playgoers into high good humour. The farce will be repeated nightly until further notice.
