(Received - November 15, 11 p.m.) Sydney, November 15. A man named got into difficulties while surf bathing at Cronulla Beach today, and his brother -went to his assistance. Both were drowned. MEAGHER CASE AGAIN. . (Received November i 15, 11.21 p.m.) .Sydney, November 15. The High Court has commenced the hearing of the Law Institute's appeal against Mr. R. D. Meagher's reinstatement on the roll of attorneys. The ground of the appeal is that the evidence previously brought before the Supreme Court, both as regards the Dean case and land matters, was sufficient to establish that. Meagher was not a , fit and proper person for reinstatement. v A DARING VOYAGE. . Sydney, November 15. A five and a-half horse-power motor boat has -travelled from Melbourne to Sydney. She-is the tiniest' craft that has ever made the. journey. The crew of two had some lexciting experiences in the rough seas. • DAMAGED by hailstorm. Brisbane, November 15. ; A destructive hailstorm swept a large area in the south-eastern districts. In many ' places jagged lumps of ' ice fell, piercing iron roofs. Thousands of window panes were broken, and crops, orchards, and gardens were destroyed. The damage round Brisbane alone .is estimated at some thousands. ACCIDENTALLY SHOT.
