, An interesting opinion has been expressed by a practical engineer that the large quantity of refuse that is left after the dressing of flax at the various mills might be used for the production of methylated spirits. Experiments are being made in this direction, and if these prove successful the i, discovery will be 'one of great importance to the Dominion.
