* #H.gRK wan a very; large attendance in connection with the outing to Motutapu yesterday organised • ; by the Methodist Mission in aid of the funds of , ■'• the' Boys- Brigade and the Girls' Upward and Onv ward Association. During the - afternoon ; the ,* Boys' Brigade played .cricket match, .first with a ...• j„. double " team of the . girls* . association - and ■ then ?>:•,£; with a scratch team of men. , In each case the !•■, j boys were victorious. '<'.',' ' - ' ' a- A. large number of T.M.C.A. members and ,-i;. friends journeyed to Kohimararaa yesterday and ' "'". spent a splendid day. The thanks of the •members •;■■ are'due to Mr. Biddick for permission to picnic &Yi-- on his property and to those gentlemen who eiokindly presented the trophies for > the different ■fj.'l races. During the , afternoon * the ' Caughey ' * T.M.C.A. 1 championship cup was run off in dis•t< lances of 100 yds, 220 yds, and 440 yds. L. 0. Castle* : . ton won the cup and gold medal presented by Mr. ::■.'.'.,■' A. Kohn with 15-points. "E. : J. Cronin was second with seven points, and H.F. Farlev third with. .". T- four points.
