In the Matter of " The Road Boards Act, 1903," "The Public Health Act, 1908," and of " The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908," and its "Amendment, 1908.'% The Eden Terrace Road Board (herein termed the Board) hereby gives public notice that such Board proposes to raise a, " Special Loan" of £3500 for the particular purposes following, namely: — 1. The • construction at an estimated cost of £1500 of a concrete or brick sewer from the present existing sewer at Auckland' City boundary, along " Archhill Gully." to Alexander-street, the boundary between Mount Albert and Eden Terrace Road Districts, capable of carrying all sewerage - and storm water, which at present flows, and in. the future will flow, through the Archhill Gully," within the Eden Terrace ■ Road District," the construction of ■ which is to be carried out jointly with The Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board;" and also: The construction at an estimated cost of . £2000 of sewers and drains, within " the Eden Terrace Road District." to com- '. plete the present reticulation and connect same with the "Archhill Gully" main sewer, and to supply pipes, materials and labour in connection therewith.;' -.-•■■:.. It is proposed to secure such Loan aid provide for the payment thereof as follows, viz.: — \ An annual recurring Special Rate will be made of 7-32 of a penny in the £ on . the . capital value of all ratable property in the " Eden Terrace Road District," to provide for the payment of interest, not exceeding £4 10s per centum per annum, and the creation of an "Annual Sinking Fund" of one per cent, on the amount of the Loan. ' In addition to " the Special Rate," before .mentioned. and for the purpose of securing the repayment of such proposed " Special Loan." and the interest thereon and the Sinking Fund, the whole of the revenues of the district . (other than those derived from the .-" Special Rates", levied in respect of ■'-■"* the Special Water Loan."
