Potato blight is reported to be very preralent in the Waitotara district. Ladybirds are not so numerous now in Taranaki as they were early in the spring, Jonsequently the aphis has increased. The Mount Eden reservoir was emptied and cleaned out yesterday. This com- ■■' pleted the annual cleaning-out of the city reservoirs.
