The elderly man named Hamilton Geary, who attempted to'cut his throat with an ordinary pocket-knife on Friday evenin"' last, died'at the hospital on Tuesday night. An inquest was held to-day, when a verdict of death from heart failure,' accelerated by a wound selfinflicted, while in a temporary state of unsound mind, was returned. •
