OPENING UP THE LAND.

Under Land for Settlement; Section 27a, Tautari settlement, 887 acres 1 rood, at £5 5s 9d half year's rent; section 4, Tautari village, 5 acres, half-yearly rent, £4 5s 6d; section 104,* Blocks 111., VII., and VIII., Patetero North, 6696 acres, at 2a 6d; section 66, 1324 acres, and section 66a, 450 acres, Block XVI., Tapapa, at £1. It was also decided that lot 5, Block X., Maraoroa, containing 470 acres 3 roods 11 poles, be offered for leaso by public tender for a term of 21 yeaja in terms of the Thermal Springs Act, 1908, weighted with £1056 valuation for improvements, the highest or any tender not necessarily to bo accepted.
