{by TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Tuesday. The final round for Mr. W. Manning's trophy was fired by the No. "3 Ohinemuri Rifles on Saturday, the; ranges being 600 yds and 700 yds. The trophy was won by Lieutenant Comes, with two firsts and a third place in the three competitions.

At the fortnightly meeting of the Waihi Foresters' Lodge last evening two candidates were proposed for membership and one initiated into the Order. .

A " book-title" evening was held under the auspices of the young women's Bibleclass in St. James' Hall last night, and passed off very successfully. Nearly 40 books were represented, and most of the titles were cleverly shown. Prizes were given to the lady and gentleman giving correctly the greatest number of titles. A pianoforte selection was contributed by Miss McClatchy, a recitation by Miss Kelsey, and songs by Messrs. Roberts and Parker, Miss McClatchy playing the accompaniments. ... v . CAMBRIDGE.
