Bates' weather forecast :— Northerly winds, increasing strong to a. gale, are probable north of Westport and Cape Campbell, and easterly, moderate, to strong, elsewhere. The weather will probably become gloomy ami showery in the northern districts and more cloudy and*unsettled elsewhere. The barometer wilt probably fall smartly in the- Far North, a* there are indications of a disturbance developing in those parts. _______ «
