SALE OF WORK.
A successful sale of work in aid of mission efforts was held in St. Mary's Hall, Parnell, on Saturday. There was a pleasing display on the various stalls, and the takings for the. day amounted to something like £20. The satisfactory result was mainly due in the first place to the indefatigable efforts of Miss Lodge in organising the fair, ana secondly to the enterprise of the young people, who entered heartily into the work of disposing of the goods. The sale was opened by Oanon MacMurrav, and during the afternoon Bishop and Mrs. Nelfgan attended! An enjoyable concert was held during the evening Mr A. J. Black contributed some clever monologue sketches, Messrs. O'Oorman, Alpe and Boucher skilful exhibitions of tumbling and pyramids, Mr. X. Laver an enjoyable flute solo Messrs. Giles, Hooker, and Laver an instrumental trio, Messrs. Barnndale and O'Malley a vocal duct, and Mr. O'Malley a song. Mr. Harder acted as accompanist. Proceedings were brought to a close by the Rev. Fisher thanking those who had assisted at the sale of work and concert
