ARBITRATION COURT VACANCY
[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN* CORRESPONDENT.) GISBORNB, Saturday. At a meeting of the general committee of the Employers' Association to-day, it was decided to nominate Mr. W. Pryor, of Wellington, for the position on the Arbitration Court rendered vacant by the death of Mr. Brown, and failing his acceptance, that Mr. W. Scott, of Dunedin, be asked to fill the position. The meeting passed a resolution expressing recognition of the good services rendered by Mr. Brown, and offering condolence to his widow and family in their bereavement. Mr. Pryor, the general secretary of the Employers' Association, has been advised that the Canterbury, Otago, and Auckland Associations, as well as the Wellington Association, support Mr. Scott's nomination as employers' representative on the Arbitration Court, and that Mr. Scott has consented to nomination. The Employers' , Association adopted a resolution appreciative of the services rendered by the late Mr. Samuel Brown on the Arbitration Court, and recommended the federation to appoint either Mr. W. Scott, of Dunedin, or Mr. F. Hobbs, of Christchurch, to the vacancy. Dti.vkw.n-, Saturday. Mr. W. Scott, secretary of the Otago Employers' Association, has accepted nomination as successor to the late Mr. Samuel Brown as employers' representative on the Arbitration Court.
